Tom Cruise was all smiles departing dinner in London last night. He reportedly shared a meal with longtime friend Ridley Scott, though it's another director that's hoping to team up with Cruise on a project. New rumors are swirling that Snow White and The Huntsman's Rupert Sanders is in the running to direct Tom's Van Helsing reboot. Tom's currently wrapping up production on his latest thriller, All You Need Is Kill, but soon he'll switch gears to promote his holiday release, Jack Reacher. Tom will likely have a few months off in the new year before Oblivion's April release - there's no word on when Van Helsing will begin shooting.

A man named Felix Baumgartner broke several records today including the highest manned flight in a balloon, the highest jump ever and the fastest freefall ever. Baumgartner went over 700 miles per hour and became the first man to break the sound barrier outside of a plane.
During his record-breaking freefall from space Sunday morning near Roswell, New Mexico, he went over 700 mph as he fell 128,000 feet to the earth.
“The whole world is watching,” Baumgartner said before he jumped. “I wish you could see what I could see.”
During the first 35 seconds of his leap, Baumgartner reportedly accelerated from zero to 690 miles per hour, making him supersonic for almost a minute of the leap, which lasted nearly 10 minutes in total. The entire jump was more than 24 miles into the sky.
Baumgartner has been training for this jump for five years, including a practice jump in July from 18.5 miles above earth.
“I want to break the speed of sound, no matter what it takes,” Baumgartner said before his attempt.
His jump was televised live on the Internet and was watched by more than 8 million people around the world.
The 27-year-old “Hitchcock” star, who was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds, dumped the advertising executive just days after she was spotted flirting with Lindsay Lohan’s male friend.
An insider revealed, “They never officially lived together, but Nate has moved all of his stuff out and back into his apartment. The relationship is over. It has not been amicable.”
Scarlett began dating Nate, 38, last January after they met in New York. At that time, she had just split from 52-year-old actor Sean Penn.
Scarlett Johansson’s split doesn’t come as a huge surprise after she was photographed getting cozy with several men recently, including her ex-boyfriend Jared Leto at the Democratic National Convention.
Johansson was also spotted on Wednesday night at The Electric Room in New York City having a good time with Lohan’s pal, artist Domingo Zapata. An eyewitness said, “Scarlett looked like she was completely flirting with Domingo.”
The actress is reportedly very bitter about her ex-husband’s marriage to “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively.
Scarlett, whose divorce from Ryan was finalized in 2011 after four years together, is convinced that Reynolds cheated on her with Blake while they were working on “The Green Lantern” together when he was still married.
