Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have called it quits after their nine-month engagement, with Ben confirming that they were unable to find a way to manage their relationship.
The former couple’s relationship was chronicled on the ABC reality show “The Bachelor” where Courtney was chosen from around 25 women to become his fiance, with Ben proposing on a mountain in Switzerland in the show’s final episode.
Flajnik and Robertson originally broke up in February 2012 while season 15 of the show was airing. But, they later reconciled and became engaged for the second time, but broke up again this week for good.
Flajnik and Robertson credited the breakup to a rollercoaster ride of emotional ups and downs. They tried sharing a home in San Francisco but that didn’t work out so they decided to “take things slow.”
They grew apart and finally decided to call it quits.
Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson issued a statement saying, “We continue to remain friends and will support each other in future endeavors. Thanks to everyone for your love and support, it’s been quite a ride.”
Flajnik confirmed the split he admitting “it’s true.” But, it didn’t seem like Ben was too sad over the demise of their relationship, tweeting on Friday, “Welp, another weekend ahead and there is so much going on in San Francisco. I can’t even begin to tell you how crazy of a weekend it’s going to be.”
