“Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks was terribly insulted by an Australian reporter for referring to her as “full-figured”, even though she it’s true!
The 37-year-old actress, who is known for her voluptuous curves, was offended at the interviewer’s question, asking her publicist to have the journalist to rephrase her question.
But Kate Waterhouse, the fashion editor for Sydney’s Sun-Herald newspaper, definitely didn’t take the hint the first time and asked the same question a second time.
Kate asked Christina, “You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you’ve inspired someone?”
Hendricks was caught off-guard and replied, “Um, I don’t know… I’m sorry.”
Things get even more uncomfortable when Kate asks again, “You’ve been known as an inspiration for women as being a full-figure…”
Christina apparently had enough and tells the journalist, “I mean… You just said it again.”
The reporter apologizes insisting she misheard the publicist’s request to discontinue asking questions about her body.
Christina Hendricks said after the interview, “I think calling me full-figured is just rude.”
The actress was in Australia to promote Specsavers launch for Australia’s Most Stylish Spec Wearer this week.
